I have been a teacher in the sunny state of Florida since 1994. I'm blissfully married to the best man I've ever known. He also happens to be a teacher, so there's definitely lots of teacher talk at our house! We met while I was student teaching at his school. Fate, I tell ya!
My first class was a group of incredible 5th grade students in a Drop-out Prevention program. I think they taught me more than I taught them in that first year!
