I just found out about this amazing opportunity for students in grades 4-12 and I wanted to make sure I passed it along. While it looks like an extensive project, the deadline is still far away enough that there is still adequate time for your individual or student teams to get moving. And the prizes are pretty outstanding motivators!
Want to give your students and children an awesome way to explore history? The new Lowell Milken Center Discovery Award provides an opportunity for students to use creative talents to research and uncover unsung heroes in history who now serve as models for how to improve the lives of others.
The award is open to student between 4th- and 12-grade and comes with three different cash prizes: First place is $10,000, second place is $2,000 and third place is $1000!
Discovery award submissions can take the form of a documentary film, a stage production or a website.
For more information on how to apply, selection criteria and eligibility visit the Lowell Milken Center website.
