So I just wanted to personally say- THANK YOU!  For everything you do, from teaching students the standards you are required to wiping runny noses to consoling those that are having a hard time with a parent’s divorce.  There are a million things teachers do that go unnoticed and as a teacher myself, I thank you for continuing to do it anyway!

I have scoured the internet in search of the best deals, crafts, videos, lesson plans, and resource sites just for Teacher Appreciation Day (May 3rd) and Week (May 2nd-6th), and have compiled them into regular posts on facebook and Twitter.  While, I would love to post regularly to facebook (you know I am a visual person), I think many of you would get sick of seeing a new post on your fb wall every 10 minutes, so I have decided to only post selective items to facebook, with the rest showing up on Twitter.  They are all good resources, so you might want to check them out!

Even if you don’t have a Twitter account, and have no interest in obtaining one, you are still easily able to find the same Twitter posts right on my facebook fan page.  Here are the directions in case you haven’t noticed it before:

1,  First, head to http://fb.com/theOrganizedClassroomBlog

  1. 2. On the left side of the page, there is a vertical set of links directly under The OC Blog logo picture (Wall, Info, Events, Welcome, Discussions, Free Videos, Follow Us On Twitter, and The OC Blog)

  2. 3. Click on the “Follow Us On Twitter” link, and give it a few seconds (kind of slow to load up sometimes)

  3. 4. On the loaded page, you will see all the recent Twitter posts I have done - it only goes back so far, so make sure to check it regularly

  4. 5. If you are a Twitter user, feel free to click on the blue “Follow” button to see the tweets as they come in.

  5. 6. One last note - if you are in facebook and see a post on the Twitter feed you like and think others you know would also like, feel free to hover over that post until the “Publish” box shows up.  If you click on that box, you are easily able to post that same info right to your personal profile wall with one click!

Thanks again everyone and please make sure if you like something on the site, please share it to your wall, post about it on another fan page, tweet about it, and/or email your friends to let them in on the fun as well!  I feel the most love when I see our numbers go up, because it tells me you are liking the content enough to share with others as well.

The larger our community, the more people we have from which to learn from one another!

Thanks again and enjoy the next week which celebrates YOU!!!

~Charity

As an added “sneak peek” - here is one super cute idea to get started (in case you have teachers you want to thank - colleagues, former staff members, or your own child’s teacher)!
